LOL, Beth! Well, my YA lit professor really likes vampires, so I guess she was naturally going to be a fan of Twilight?

I think people are really hard on Twilight. It has its flaws, but it has a certain engaging (addictive!) quality that really draws readers in.

And I guess that's what my YA lit class was about- not always "what's the greatest literature?" but also "what do the teens WANT to read?" The professor predicted Twilight would be huge, and she was sure right!

A PROFESSOR recommended Twilight? That's odd. Everyone always talks about what literary trash it is. Shocked a prof raved about it - even if it was for a YA lit class.
